Parsons - BFA Spatial Representation and Analysis
Instructor: Tommy Yang
Architectural drawing is a historically established set of methods and techniques for describing and investigating space, in both its physical and conceptual manifestations. During Rep&Analysis01 students develop an understanding of the conventions of architectural drawing and how these acts of representation play within the trajectory of power, equity, and colonization in world-building. I challenge: how do we move beyond these conventions and explore the full potential of drawing as an investigative analytical tool for both comprehending the space around them and studying spaces that may not be physically accessible, whether they be remote, no longer existent, or still being imagined.
